Art and Craft run South

Starting at Loftus Oval, we will travel south through the National Park to Stanwell Tops for morning tea at Articles Fine Art Gallery Coffee Shop, and then browse through the arts and crafts.

After a leisurely stop there, we will travel south to Albion Park, up Macquarie Pass and on to Robertson to the Farm Gate Lavender Farm. 

At 1.00pm there will be a tour of the lavender farm and winery, including wine tastings.  A BBQ or picnic lunch will be available for $15/head, and depending on the weather, the lunch will either be in the winery itself or on the deck. The lavender farm cater for group bookings only (ie, lunches are not available  for individuals calling in on the off-chance of something to eat), therefore you must let them know how many in our party for catering.

Route Card

Meeting Place:  Loftus Oval Car Park on the left after crossing the tramway lines across the Princes Hwy after the traffic lights from Sutherland Station.
Timetable:  Gather 8:30am for 9:00am start 
9:00am  depart car park for morning tea at The Palms Café, Stanwell Park, travelling via the Royal National Park, Stanwell Tops and left down to Stanwell Park.  There is ample parking space close to the Articles Fine Art Gallery Coffee Shop
Estm. Time 30 mins. (approx 37 km)
Morning Tea and browsing expected to take 30-60 mins, and to depart at approx-11:00am
11:00am  depart for Roberton and the Farmgate Lavender Farm.  Back up to Stanwell Tops, left onto Lawrence Hargrave Drv, left onto Princes Hwy joining Mount Ousley Road down to Wollongong.  Join the Southern Fwy south.  Exit right at roundabout to Albion Pk., right at lights in Albion Pk, heading for Macquarie pass and Robertson.  After passing the Robertson Pie Shop, proceed through Robertson township, over the railway line, and take the Wildes Meadow turn on the left off the Illawarra Highway.  The entrance to the Lavender Farm is approximately 3km on the right hand side.
Expected to take approx. 65 to 75 mins  ( approx.85 km)
12:15pm  Arriving at Farmgate Lavender Farm for BBQ lunch and browsing through the shop.  There may also be a wine tasting (local wines) and a talk on lavender and how it is farmed.
Lunch and socialising expected to take approx 2 to 2.5 hours, allowing group to depart at approx 3:00pm.
3:00pm  Make own way home.  Options are back down Macquarie Pass and north up Southern Fwy and Princes Hwy or right out of farm driveway west on Illawarra Hwy and home via Moss Vale or Bowral and Mittagong.
