Picnic run to Patonga Starting at Berowra

What to bring: Bring picnic rug and lunch, although food and drink (very good fish and chips) are available at Patonga, our lunch stop. We can have lunch on the beach :-))

Watch speed cameras on the old Pacific Highway – police constantly patrol.

Meeting Place:	Please meet at the old toll gates at Berowra. Be careful to veer off to the left, onto the old Pacific Highway, before stopping in the truck parking area.
Times:	Gather 9:30am for a 10am start

Old toll gates at Berowra to Patonga (70km)

At 10am we will move off and head down the old Pacific Highway towards Cowan, out past the Brooklyn turn off, and up through Moonee Moonee. Our first gathering point will be at the old fuel stop at the T intersection, before veering right and then right again towards Gosford.

	Turn right towards Peats Ridge, then right again into Gosford (this road is newly sealed using large gravel – beware).
	Proceed towards Gosford, past the Reptile Park. At the roundabout at Somersby turn right towards Gosford and proceed under the freeway. We will gather up just before the roundabout.
	At traffic lights, turn left to Gosford.
	Turn right at second set of traffic lights to Woy Woy on Woy Woy Road. Beware of the fixed speed camera in the 80km/hr section on Woy Woy Road.
	At the first roundabout turn right towards Patonga and Pearl Beach (BP and Shell).
	Another fixed speed camera in a 60km zone on Ocean Beach Road.
	At the roundabout at Ocean Beach Road and Sydney Avenue turn right.
	Beware the last few kilometres into Patonga, it can be very bumpy and there are concealed driveways.
	Park at shops across the road from the beach - there will be ample parking and ample fish and chips, which we can have on the beach.

The return trip

	Retrace the above or...
	Come back via the F3 to Sydney or
	for those who are really adventurous and want to clock up another 100 kms or more, travel via Freemans Drive and New Line Road, Cherrybrook.
